Editing 'It's Good To Talk'
We used Premiere Pro to edit our preliminary task. We made the documentary the way we wanted it by using the tools on Premiere such as the brackets tool to edit out parts in clips that we wanted. After we placed all the parts of the documentary that we wanted we dragged the cutaways that we shot for our documentary into our video so that whilst the person is still talking, we also see a cutaway relating to the subject the person is speaking about.
Here are a phew photos and screenshots of the editing process.
Filming 'It's Good To Talk'
In conducting our interview we kept to the mise en scene that we orginally planned, however I think that we should have been more organised when it came to the camera and props. During filming, the interviewee would sometimes laugh whilst talking so I think if we were more organsed and went through the questions beforehand she would have felt more comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera.
This photos shows me filming Chelsea for the interview. She is looking to the left of the camera towards Ellie, the person who was asking her questions, whilst she sat on the right opposite the camera.
This is a photo showing me filming a cutaway for our documentary.
